Razamataz Breifing

Razamataz Briefing:

Today we were briefed by Hayley from the Children's Theatre company Razamataz. This is a theatre school for people aged 2-18. They get lessons in acting, dance and singing and put together shows for there friends and families to come and watch. This year they have split it into 2 halves which will be made up of one full production which is 'Born in the USA' and the other will be 6 mini musicals. These will be split into different ages.

Musical 1: Shrek
Musical 1 will be Shrek this is made up of 6 mini scenes. The senior students will act as the main characters, including Shrek, Donkey and the Narrator of the  entire play will also control a gingerbread puppet. Shrek is played by a 12 year old and Donkey is played by a 14 year old. This first section however, is for the 4-5 year olds so they will fill in all of the other bits and make up the dances and songs. The costumes will be needed for both Shrek, Donkey and a puppet will need to be made for the gingerbread man.

Musical 2: Wiz
Musical 2 is the Wiz. The main characters for this will also be performed by the senior students, these include The Lion, Tin man, Scarecrow and The wiz. They need costumes for all of these characters. The rest of the performance will be performed by 6-8 year olds.

Musical 3: School of Rock
Musical 3 is School of rock which is for the 9-10 year old students.  And they need mostly props for this brief.

Musical 4: Little shop of horrors
Musical 4 is Little shop of horrors, this scene will be based in a plant shop and  is for the 9-11 year olds and they need all props for this performance.
