Welding Workshop

Friday 10th March

On Friday I took part in a woodwork and wielding work shop. In the morning we learnt how to use the lay machine and using a chemically made type of wood, we had the opportunity to put to practice what we were told about. In the afternoon, we were given demonstrations on the spot welder, the plasma cutter, the metal roller and welding itself. We were given the task of making a tree in a small group of 5. We decided that we wanted to take a slightly different route and instead of a tree we made two branches with flowers and pretty leaves detailing. Below I've attached some images of what we created. I feel like the end result was really effective and the whole day really made me feel more confident with using metal in my work.
