Sunday 14th May

Sunday 14th May- Designing for a Fashion Media and Promotion third year.

The Concept for her store was:

'My idea is to create a concept pop up store for the fashion label Vetement's based on their AW 2017 collection which was completely inspired by the different stereotypes in society.
The concept of the pop up store design is to intertwine several different stereotypes together. I want to do this by using objects that you would find around each stereotypes house.
For example one of the stereotypes Vetement's used in their collection is "prisoner". So i began to look at the objects found in and around a prison cell.
I have done the same for "Miss no.5" which is a stereotype Vetement used to describe their Asian clientele and also below I looked and researched a punks bedroom to find objects that would be found in their bedroom.
I still have 2 more mood boards to complete. One is "Vagabond" which was their take on homeless people, so I wanted to incorporate objects found on the streets.'

The pop up store concept will sell their AW17 collections, shoes and accessories. Their would need to be a fitting room area and till point.
I want the overall finished design to be a pop up store decorated as a room you would find in a house such as living/bedroom including all the different styles of stereotypes.
Kind of imagine if 5 different types of people were to move into one room mixing all their own personal cultures and interior taste into one.'

I came up with the idea of a having a revolving door that would lead you into 4 separate rooms, these rooms would be individually inspired by each stereotype, I thought this would make it a bit more obvious which was what, but to in keep with the idea of 'inclusivity' that my client wanted I decided that each room would have some way in which you would be able to look into the one next to it, for example a window or a crack or a vent on the floor, these would all allow you to have some kind of awareness of what's next to you without being in it, I thought this would be a really interesting experience and would allow you to study each space as it is.

Below are my designs for each space.
'PUNK'

'ASIAN'

'PRISONER'

'HOMELESS'
